Likewise, you may call the secretary to schedule a conference. Conferences are held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 8:45-9:10 a.m. Please be prompt; conferences will end at 9:10 as teachers have assigned duties.

Academic Planners

Thanks to our PTSA, students are being provided with academic planners to use this year. They are to be used every day in every class. Students will be held accountable for the information recorded in their planners. In the event a student loses his or her planner, a new one can be purchased for $5.00 in the grade level office.

Grade Updates

Our team is committed to keeping you notified of your student’s grades and progress. Approximately every two weeks, students will be notified in writing of their current grades. The official school notifications will be in the form of midterm progress reports and report cards.

Additionally, students will receive grade printouts two weeks prior to progress reports and two weeks prior to report cards. Students are expected to share these reports with their parent/guardian(s) and to obtain signatures on the reports. The dates the team grade printouts will be sent home will be on the monthly team calendars. Distribution dates for progress reports, report cards, and team printouts are subject to change.

Marvelous Manatees

At the end of each quarter, students who model outstanding academic achievement and citizenship will be invited to participate in a Marvelous Manatees celebration.

Qualifications for Marvelous Manatees are:

  • A’s and/or B’s for the quarter
  • 1’s and/or 2’s in conduct
  • No administrative referrals

Field Trips

In order to set a good example in our community, students will be expected to maintain examplary behavior prior to and during any school related trips. Students will be excluded from field trips for the following reasons:

  • Three dress code violations during the semester in which a field trip is taken.
  • Any administrative referral during the semester in which a field trip is taken.

Bathroom Passes

Students will use the bathroom between classes. Students will be marked tardy if they are late, so they will need to keep an eye on the time.

Students will be allowed two emergency bathroom passes per class, per nine weeks.
