Parent Leadership Council
The Parent Leadership Council is composed in its majority of parents of LEP (Language Enriched Pupils) students designed to encourage parental involvement and participation in the implementation of LEP programming and academic achievement initiatives. This committee provides resources and orientation to the district's LEP program service, monitoring procedures, and involvement procedures available to parents of LEP students. The PLC meets four times a year at Chain of Lakes middle school and all parents of LEP students are encouraged to attend. Flyers and invitations are sent home with the students of times and dates of the meetings. The meetings are usually conducted in English, but assistance in other languages is provided for the benefit of all parents. If you need more information on the PLC and its purpose, please contact your ESOL compliance teacher Ms. Cruz at (407) 909-5400 extension 289 or via e-mail at cruza2@opcs.net.
